Elles sont con\u00e7ues pour assurer une protection plus durable du r\u00e9servoir que les anodes sacrificielles en r\u00e9duisant l&#8217;action corrosive de l&#8217;eau chaude sur le r\u00e9servoir m\u00e9tallique.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"o-container-text\">\n<p>Pour comprendre le fonctionnement d&#8217;une anode \u00e0 courant impos\u00e9, il est essentiel de comprendre d&#8217;abord le principe de base de la corrosion galvanique. La corrosion galvanique se produit lorsque deux m\u00e9taux diff\u00e9rents sont en contact dans un \u00e9lectrolyte (l&#8217;eau dans ce cas), un m\u00e9tal (l&#8217;anode) se corrodant pour prot\u00e9ger l&#8217;autre (la cathode).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"o-container-text\">\n<p>Dans les chauffe-eau traditionnels, une anode sacrificielle faite d&#8217;un m\u00e9tal plus r\u00e9actif (comme le magn\u00e9sium ou l&#8217;aluminium) est install\u00e9e. Cette anode se sacrifie en se corrodant en premier, prot\u00e9geant ainsi l&#8217;acier du r\u00e9servoir d&#8217;eau. Toutefois, ces anodes sacrificielles finissent par se consumer compl\u00e8tement et doivent \u00eatre remplac\u00e9es, faute de quoi le r\u00e9servoir d&#8217;eau commence \u00e0 se corroder.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"o-container-text\">\n<p>En revanche, les anodes \u00e0 courant impos\u00e9 fonctionnent selon un principe diff\u00e9rent, appel\u00e9 protection cathodique par courant impos\u00e9. Au lieu de s&#8217;appuyer sur la diff\u00e9rence de r\u00e9activit\u00e9 naturelle entre les m\u00e9taux, une source d&#8217;\u00e9nergie externe est utilis\u00e9e pour cr\u00e9er un flux de courant qui contr\u00f4le la corrosion.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"o-container-text\">\n<p>L\u2019anodes \u00e0 courant impos\u00e9, g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement en titane ou dans un mat\u00e9riau inerte similaire, est connect\u00e9e \u00e0 une source d&#8217;alimentation externe. Lorsque cette alimentation est activ\u00e9e, elle envoie un courant continu de la tige d&#8217;anode au r\u00e9servoir du chauffe-eau, qui est con\u00e7u pour jouer le r\u00f4le de cathode dans ce dispositif.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"o-container-text\">\n<p>Le flux de courant cr\u00e9e une r\u00e9action \u00e9lectrochimique qui supprime la corrosion de la cathode (le r\u00e9servoir du chauffe-eau). Le courant \u00e9lectrique inverse essentiellement le flux normal d&#8217;\u00e9lectrons de l&#8217;anode vers la cathode, ce qui inhibe le processus de corrosion sur les parois du r\u00e9servoir.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"o-container-text\">\n<p>Contrairement aux anodes sacrificielles, les anodes \u00e0 courant impos\u00e9 ne se consument pas au fil du temps, car elles ne participent pas au processus de corrosion. Elles ont donc une dur\u00e9e de vie plus longue et n\u00e9cessitent moins d&#8217;entretien, ce qui en fait un choix favorable pour de nombreux propri\u00e9taires et installations commerciales.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"o-container-text\">\n<p>Toutefois, il est important de noter que les anodes \u00e0 courant impos\u00e9 n\u00e9cessitent une source d&#8217;\u00e9nergie continue pour fonctionner. Une coupure de courant ou une d\u00e9faillance de l&#8217;unit\u00e9 d&#8217;alimentation peut laisser le r\u00e9servoir du chauffe-eau sans protection contre la corrosion.
